How It Helps

Air exchanges are important to the health and safety of a building. Knowing where is entering and escaping your building is important to managing the flow and quality of that air.

Pressure changes in the building cause air to flow in and out during the course of the day. Minimizing the amount of air brought in from crawl spaces and attics can dramatically improve comfort and quality.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems condition and clean the air in your living space. Duct leakage measures the percentage of that air that is pushed back into those unconditioned spaces. Reducing that leakage reduces the amount of energy you buy to condition your living space.

Tightening a building can have the unintended consequence of creating unsafe conditions. Combustion safety checks can ensure proper drafting of combustion appliances and check for fuel line leakages. Air exchanges are measured to determine if adequate ventilation is present to prevent moisture buildup in the building.

Organizations are providing rebates for improving building efficiency. Many of those require some level of building analysis to determine efficiency gains. We can provide you with the information necessary to obtain those rebates.
